Lewisfoods University
Lewisfoods is pleased to announce that our manager at Kohl & Frisch, Melissa Arasim has completed and passed the Lewisfoods University Exam. The 12 week program, covers all aspects of managing a Lewisfoods site and combined with the practical experience, develops a higher level of competence. Congratulations Melissa good work.
Lewisfoods U is almost ready as a self teaching program. Previously taught in a one on one environment this program has been developed into a download or binder package to allow for easier flexibility in learning
Food Handlers Certification
Lewisfoods has undertaken an ambitious initiative
to certify all employees with the Basic Food Handlers qualification.
Partnered with TrainCan, Lewisfoods offered the training course online
and by hard copy in both English and French. Having AECL Director
of Foodservices, Katharine Woo as a certified instructor, all employees,
who needed the qualification, took the course and had the exam adjudicated
by Katharine. Lewisfoods has always used "red seal" qualified chefs to create the
best food for its customers and now has all other staff "food
handler" certified, to ensure the safest food handling practices
are followed as well.
